This Prayer Attributed to St Francis of Assisi, is one of my favorite prayers.
Lord make me and instrument of your peace.....is a phrase that resonates in me the work of Christ we all need to do in a troubled world.
As I traveled down the Oregon coast in the early morning hours before the fog burns off, I see many peaceful quiet scenes that gives me time to sit and comtemplate how I can be the light of Christ today

These Chaplets are created from Marble in earth-tone colors, Jacob's Tears (a plant), and from Green Agate beads. St. Jude, known as Thaddaeus, was a brother of St. James the Less, and a relative of our Savior. Ancient writers tell us that he preached the Gospel in Judea, Samaria, Idumaea, Syria, Mesopotamia, and Lybia. According to Eusebius, he returned to Jerusalem in the year 62, and assisted at the election of his brother, St. Simeon as Bishop of Jerusalem. He is the author of an epistle to the Churches of the East. particularly the Jewish converts, directed against the heresies of the Simonians, Nicolaites, and Gnostics. This Apostle is said to have suffered martyrdom in Armenia, which was then subject to Persia.

These Chaplets and prayer cards are created for the Prayer of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. This prayer ends with 3 Our Father, 3 Hail Mary and 3 Glory Be to the Father prayers for which these Chaplets are designed. Prayer cards are included with the Chaplets.
The purple Chaplet is made from 8mm Czech Crystal Amethyst beads and have Italian Crucifix and Saint Medal on each end. The back of the Medal has the image of The Sacred Heart of Jesus.
The Red Chaplet is made from 8mm Coral Cube, diagonal cut beads, with Green Seed beads to separate the cubes, and a medal separator between each of the set of three prayers.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel is the patronal feast of the Carmelites. The Order of Carmelites takes its name from Mount Carmel, which was the first place dedicated to the Blessed Virgin and where a chapel was erected in her honor before her Assumption into heaven.

July 16 is also the feast of the Scapular of Mount Carmen. On that day in 1251, pious tradition says, the Blessed Virgin appeared to St Simon Stock, General of the Carmelites at Cambridge, England, showed him the scapular and promised supernatural favors and her special protection to his Order and to all persons who would wear her scapular.
